Composer Study lessons introduce students (ages 7+) to a number of significant composers and compositions, giving them a sense of the sounds of various centuries and introducing them to beautiful and inspiring pieces from a variety of musical genres and traditions. Lessons are written for easy use in a multi-age context with extensions for older students which include extra reading, discussion, or other activities. As they engage with the music, students learn musical, historical, and cultural aspects of the pieces to help them deepen their relationship with both the music and the time period.
