Students learn a bit about the history of each song and its theological, historical, and/or musical connections. Folk songs (and often spirituals and hymns as well) tie into the time period Alveary is studying (1800-1900AD for 2026-27) to give students a sense for the sounds of the time. Extra helpings, composition suggestions, teacher tips, and scheduling help included.
