The Charlotte Mason Institute’s Natural History Guides provide a fun and accessible way for you to practice a relational education with others and deepen your experience of creation. Embark on outdoor adventures as a family or community for a year of monthly guided nature visits to three different ecosystems and habitats. Each set of natural history guides allow you to open and go, equipped with background info, observation ideas, and reflection questions for an entire year worth of visits. Guides may be used in any order, although Patterns & Biodiversity assumes an intimate knowledge of each of the three ecosystems local to users. The recommended order is Vegetation & Animal Life, Birds, then Patterns & Biodiversity.
The multi-authored Charlotte Mason Centenary Monograph series is designed to highlight and explore the continuing educational and leadership relevance of Charlotte Mason (1842–1923) through the collective contributions of the Armitt Museum and Library, the University of Cumbria, the Charlotte Mason Institute, and other scholars and practitioners worldwide.
