The Perfect Season for Personal Growth - Summer Courses
By Olga (Olya) Robbins, CMI Teacher Training Coordinator
Since I was a child and a student, I have thought of a “new year” as a new school year, not a calendar year, because I was first a student, then a teacher, and then a homeschooling mom and a mom to students. It feels that my year comes to a conclusion in May or early June, when we finish the school year and enter the summer season of rest and preparation for the new (school) year to come. However, my summer time of rest has also been the time of personal growth and seeking out programs to grow myself as an educator. This is the time for attending conferences, taking classes, and diving deeper into my understanding of the educational philosophy I have chosen.
If you are like me, you might be looking for a course to take over the summer as you desire to grow as a Mason educator, and you might have been visiting the CMI Courses to see what class might be a good fit for you. This summer we are offering a greater variety of courses than ever before, from the four classes (CMC 1, 2, 3, and 4) that make up the Charlotte Mason Basic Teacher Certificate, to the graduate level class, Nature of the Learner.
One of our CMC 1 cohorts is already full, but there is still space remaining in the other classes, so join us this summer on the Mason journey!
If you have any questions or want to know which class might be the best fit for you, please email me at olga@cminst.org!
