Favorite Resources, Part 2
Here are more Alveary resources that are sometimes overlooked.
- Reflective Practice: You can find this printable book in your Dashboard. It contains insightful questions and resources for every week of the school year as a support for you. We recommend reading the opening section up to term one before you start planning each year.
- Foundations online courses: "Alveary Foundations: Relational Ideas" is an online course with videos that gives you an overview of Charlotte Mason's philosophy. "Alveary Foundations: Relational Methods" gives practical tips and videos on how to teach different subjects.
- Office Hours Spreadsheet: This is a listing of every past Office Hours topic with links to the recordings. It’s a treasure trove! We also post this link in every office hours event on the Hive.
- Training Resources: Scroll down the resources webpage just a bit, and you’ll find a searchable database of videos, articles, etc. on many aspects of Charlotte Mason education. You can schedule time throughout the year and use these resources as a virtual Charlotte Mason conference!
- Conversations on Relational Education (CORE) and other CMI courses: There are several courses available on the resources page of the Charlotte Mason Institute website for beginner to advanced Charlotte Mason educators. These courses are separate from Alveary (and open to anyone), so they do have a registration fee. More courses are in the works, so watch Alveary Weekly for updates!

Notes
1. Job Board: After many requests, we are delighted to announce that CMI now has a job board! If you’re looking for teachers or staff for your Alveary school or just looking for someone to share your teaching at home, this is the place for you. If you’re looking for a position, this might be the place you find one! We are excited about the ways this space can serve the community. *If you’re posting a job, be sure to use the code AMJOB to receive the member pricing.*
2. Join our Team: Speaking of jobs, we’re continuing to expand our own team and are currently hiring for a Teacher Training coordinator and positions in our Curriculum Collaborative. Read more and apply.
3. Latin On-Line classes: It is not too late to sign up for Latin Level 1 or Level 2. You have one whole year to complete the course so you can go at your own pace.
4. Latin Level 2: Students enrolled in the Alveary Online course will need Lars Romam Odit: A Latin Novella ISBN: 979-8627942636. You can purchase it here.
5. Prepared Slide Set: The Prepared Slide Set (used in High School Biology and optional this year for Grade 8 Natural History) has been updated by the manufacturer. The link for the updated set has been added to the supply list. The list/key to the slides in either set is provided on Amazon’s product pages for comparison: original set and updated set. While they are not necessary for Grade 8 Natural History, you will need to refer to these keys if you are using the updated set for Lesson 2. The slide numbers referenced in the Grade 8 Natural History lesson plans are for the original set.
6. CMI Facebook Group: Join the global conversation in our new CMI Facebook group! This group is a place where educators, parents, and Charlotte Mason enthusiasts from all corners of the globe can come together to share ideas, insights, and inspiration. Charlotte Mason Around the World
