New Curriculum, New Videos!
We are so excited about the 2023-24 Alveary curriculum! Our whole team of Alveary staff and volunteers is working diligently to prepare lesson plans and other resources that we hope will bless your entire family. Please pray for the team as we persevere to finish this work.
As you wait for the lesson plans to be published on June 1, we hope you will enjoy the new videos on our YouTube channel, particularly this one on our process of choosing books which you might find helpful as you make final decisions about books, schedules, and lesson plans for your students in the coming months. Also, be sure you’re subscribed to our YouTube channel so you know when new videos are released!
Which videos were most helpful to you? Let us know in this post in the Hive.
Notes
1. Printing: Family Nest is no longer offering printing services. However, we have an exciting replacement for you this year. Stay tuned for details!
2. Teacher Training: The Foundations Courses will be moving from the Hive to the website soon to make it easier to access. We suggest you make a note of where you left off if you have been working through a course in order.
3. Office Hours: Join Dr. Shannon Whiteside on June 1 at 3:30 EDT for a look at our newly published lesson plans. Share your questions in the Hive event by May 29.
4. YouTube Videos: High school, preschool, parenting, narration, misconceptions about CM, choosing books, CM for neurodiverse homes and classrooms, science. All these topics and more are discussed in over 20 new videos on the Alveary & CMI YouTube pages! Enjoy them yourself and share with others!
5. CORE. Due to high interest in the class, we opened another cohort for this 8-week intensive on Charlotte Mason’s methods. You can still join us this summer!
6. 2022-23 Membership: June 30 is the final day of access for 2022-23 memberships. Please download any Alveary documents you need prior to that date. External links (Vimeo, SoundCloud, Quizlet, etc.) will remain live. Note: We are not using Minimus for Latin in 2023-24. If you would like to continue on with those books, please be sure to print out the lesson plans now.
