In these Charlotte Mason science lessons for Grades 4-8, learners progressively deepen their understanding of science by exploring an expanding range of topics including microscopy, physical science, botany, astronomy, oceanography, and a two-year physical science course in Grades 7-8, all situated within historical, political, and cultural context. Students practice and build lab skills through Alveary exclusive lab books at each level, while Natural History readings guide them through topics such as microscopic creatures, botanical families, ecology, and the history of microbiology and infectious disease. Each week, students record their observations in their Nature Notebook and spend time on a longer nature excursion, with prompts and coordinating afternoon activities available in Outdoor Work. All digital resources are included with every science course.
